Every week, we shine a spotlight on one Lincoln Public Schools staff member! This week, meet Axel Mendoza-Gonzalez, paraeducator at Yankee Hill Education Center.
“Though Mr. Mendoza is in his first year as a paraeducator—and has been with us for less than three months—he has already gone above and beyond for our students. His background in customer service and justice-involved support has seamlessly translated into our school environment. He has an incredible knack for anticipating what a teacher needs before they even ask, whether it’s redirecting behaviors, tackling building tasks, or jumping in wherever help is needed. Mr. Mendoza is always there when you need him!” - Grace Galinsky, special education teacher, Yankee Hill Education Center
