iSite (LPS)

WHAT IS iSITE?

iSite is server space dedicated to the hosting of web accessible content. LPS employees may use this space to post an individual teacher web site, photo galleries, posting of grades, or any other activities prescribed in their contracted employment and within the LPS School Board policies on acceptable use.  iSite is only available for LPS staff.

This page is the central source for information regarding the change from UL “sites” to “iSite”. If you have additional questions, please contact your building technician, your computer liaison, or the LPS Helpdesk.

WHAT IS MY iSITE WEB ADDRESS (URL)?

CONTRIBUTE USERS

If you are using Contribute to maintain a teacher web site (your web site begins with the http://ulhomepage.lps.org), you will need to change the address that Contribute uses to connect to your content. This will ensure that your “iSite” folder is updated whenever you alter your site with Contribute. Directions for this may be found here:

NOTE: Contribute can connect to iSite from your school as well as your home.

 POSTING GRADES

You may "drag and drop" grades you have exported from EasyGrade Pro into your iSite folder to make them available on the web. Use the connection information presented below to connect to iSite from LPS (SMB) or from anywhere (FTP).

The web address (URL) of your grades will look like this as indicated in the Create Website Reports information.

where <username> is your LPS user name and <yourgradesfolder> is the name of the folder you created to hold your grades.

CONNECTING FROM LPS ONLY (SMB)

The instructions below outline how to connect to iSite when on the LPS network for something other than Contribute. These directions will not allow you to connect from home.  You would use this information if you are someone that posts grades from Easy Grade Pro, photo galleries from PS Elements or other like web content while on the LPS network.
