Bubba is back and the public can donate clothing for the annual event between October 5 and November 7.
The annual Bubba’s Closet clothing exchange will be held 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at McPhee Elementary School (820 Goodhue Blvd.). The event – offering warm clothing to grade school children – is sponsored by elementary principals at Lincoln Public Schools.
Any elementary student, accompanied by an adult, may choose free items to adopt and use. There are no income requirements. Bags will be provided by Lincoln Public Schools.
The public can help by donating new or gently used elementary-age winter clothing – coats, jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts and jeans – to help clothe and warm the community’s children. Clothes can be dropped off at all Hanger’s Cleaners through November 7. Hanger’s Cleaners will clean the clothing at no charge.
