LPS announces Amy Clark will be next Director of Continuous Improvement

Lincoln Public Schools announced Sheridan Elementary School Principal Amy Clark will be the next Director of Continuous Improvement starting in July 2024. The position was previously held by Sarah Salem before she was named Associate Superintendent for Teaching and Learning in June 2023. 

“Dr. Clark has been a successful principal in LPS because she values collaboration and is always searching for ways to enhance the educational experience for all students,” said Salem. “Amy knows how to get people to the table to build strong connections, enhance learning, and create positive and inclusive school communities and classrooms.”

Serving the Sheridan community since 2021 as principal, Clark came from Adams Elementary where she was assistant principal in 2015 before being named principal there in 2018. Prior to her roles at Adams, she was a coordinator and teacher at Sheridan Elementary School. 

Clark earned her Bachelor of Science in Education degree and Master of Education in Educational Administration degree from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. She also earned her Educational Specialist degree and Doctor of Education degree from Doane University.

Clark will finish the school year at Sheridan Elementary, officially beginning her new duties July 1, 2024.
