Students showcase technical skills at national SkillsUSA competition
During the week of June 19-24, students from Lincoln Public Schools competed in the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta, Ga. The competition hosts students from across the country as they showcase their skills in various trade, technical and skilled service occupations.
Businesses from various technical and trade industries also attended the conference to provide firsthand knowledge to students interested in pursuing a career in the field.
“The contest was a great opportunity for students to network with other competitors in their areas, as well as business and industry professionals in their fields,” Steven Goldenstein, SkillsUSA chapter advisor for Lincoln Northeast, said.
