New Educator Spotlight: Rachel Stallworth

Every week, we'll be featuring one of our new LPS educators to get to know a little more about them and why they chose to be an educator. This week it's Rachel Stallworth.

Building/Department: Dawes Middle School

Teaching Assignment/Role: English

Why did you want to become an educator? I wanted to become an educator to show students that they are capable of so much and that they are deserving of a quality education.

What has been your favorite part of working for Lincoln Public Schools? My favorite part of working for LPS so far has been all of the professional development opportunities I've been given because they help me become a better teacher.

Did you attend Lincoln Public Schools as a student? If so, which school(s)? I attended Brownell Elementary, Mickle Middle School, and Northeast High School.

Where did you attend college? UNL

What is your favorite part of being an educator? My favorite part of being an educator is my ability to connect with students and help them grow.

What is a fun fact about you? I can say the alphabet backwards in less than three seconds.
