Transportation Bus Drivers and Transportation Paraeducators needed for the 2018-2019 School year.

LPS is accepting applications for school bus drivers and transportation paraeducators. Regular routes are available as well as substitute positions. This is a great opportunity for students, retirees, at-home parents, self-employed in need of extra money.

• Students include those in the early childhood programs; elementary, middle schools; and those students with special needs (including high school).
• Route hours are typically 6:30 to 9:30 a.m., and/or 2:30 to 4:30 p.m, with a potential for working during the mid-day.

Drivers

• Excellent driving record required.
• Salary for regular bus driver: $18.37/hour + benefits.
• Salary for substitute bus driver: $16.86/hour.
• LPS provides all the necessary training to obtain CDL license and School Bus Permit.

Transportation Paraeducators

• Salary for regular transportation paras: $13.26/hour + benefits
• Salary for substitute transportation paras: $12.05/hour

ATTENTION: We are now offering a $500 sign-on bonus for new regular bus drivers and transportation paras AND a $500 transportation bonus for regular bus drivers and transportation paras who work their full shift at the end of the school year.  This means new drivers and transportation paras could receive $1,000 in their first year of driving on top of their normal earnings.
