LPS drama students play leading role at state theater awards show

Lincoln Public Schools was well represented at the Omaha Performing Arts Awards Showcase on June 8. The annual event recognizes the outstanding achievements of Nebraska high school musical theater productions and students.

The following schools and students were honored for their performances in 2017-18:

Outstanding Musical Theatre Production

Sadie Prenda, as Gertrude McFuzz from "Seussical the Musical" - Lincoln Southeast High School

Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role

Henry Zander, as General Genghus Khan Schmitz from "Seussical the Musical" - Lincoln Southeast High School

Nate Mitchell, as Warner from "Legally Blonde" - Lincoln Southwest High School
