MLC Partial Product
Partial Product Finder allows multiplication combinations up to 50x50 to be represented as a rectangle (area model) with dimensions that match the combination. Students enter a multiplication expression, which is then represented in an area model. Move up to four sliders per axis to explore different ways of decomposing the rectangle into smaller areas and see how the equation changes depending on the position of the sliders. Point to any region to see the corresponding piece of the equations. Hide and reveal fraction labels. Show or hide the results of the equation.
