Welcome to the Lincoln Public Schools Custodial and Transportation Services website!  As Director of Operations I am proud to oversee the many dedicated employees of this district responsible for cleanliness of facilities and safe transportation of students.  The following is a brief overview of our department functions and responsibilities:

Custodial services are provided at all educational and support facilities throughout the school district.  Each school is assigned a custodial team responsible for cleaning and upkeep at that site.  In addition, school custodians also assist with the set up, tear down, and clean up after various facility uses by outside users. 

Transportation services provided by the district are that which are required by law including elementary and middle school students residing over 4 miles from the school in their attendance area.  Also students who have been moved for the benefit of the district in instances of over crowding, major facility renovation, or efficiency in use of school buildings.  Transportation is also provided to special education students that have transportation identified as part of their individual education program.

LPS high school students continue excellence in ACT scores

High school students at Lincoln Public Schools (LPS) have tied their record, historic scores in their performance in this year's ACT, America’s most widely accepted college entrance exam.

Lincoln Public Schools Custodial employees strive to provide an environment that is clean, sanitary, and supportful of the education process.  School bus drivers and transportation para's view the bus ride as the "First classroom and last classroom of the day".  By connecting the school bus ride with the classroom experience, each employee recognizes the important contributions they make to the educational process
