Annual Bubba's Closet seeking donations for event to be held Nov. 13 at Huntington Elementary School

Since 1992, Lincoln has supported Bubba’s Closet, one of many events planned for American Education Week (Nov. 14-20).  The annual event was started by the principals of Lincoln Public Schools (LPS).

Bubba’s Closet offers FREE warm winter clothing for LPS students in grades K-5.  Donations of warm winter clothing are needed from the Lincoln community and can be dropped off at Hangers Cleaners from October 1 through November 1.

Warm clothing donations needed include elementary-age winter coats and jackets, gloves and hats, sweaters and sweatshirts, jeans and slacks.  All donations will be cleaned by Hangers Cleaners at not cost.

This year, Bubba’s Closet will be held Saturday, November 13 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Huntington Elementary School, which is located at 2900 North 46th Street.  All elementary students accompanied by an adult may choose FREE items.  There is no income requirement.
