Special guest conductor visits North Star orchestras

Ed Polochick, the Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra conductor and music director, visited Lincoln North Star High School last Friday and worked with the school’s varsity and chamber orchestras.  

Polochick has paid similar visits to North Star for the past six years. On Friday, he conducted Symphony No. 6 March by Tchaikovsky with the varsity orchestra and Haydn’s Symphony No. 1 with the chamber orchestra.  

“He gives incredible insight into the music we are playing,” said Rob Salistean, North Star’s orchestra and jazz band director. “He is always complimentary of the orchestra programs, both at North Star and in Lincoln Public Schools as a whole.”
