Rising to the top in national competition

Lincoln Public Schools Career Academy, K-12 and Early Childhood education students saw success at national competition over the summer. Competing against approximately 1,000 students from across the nation in 21 competitions geared towards future educators, The Career Academy (TCA) had 11 students break the top 10.

Students who placed in the top 10 at the Educator’s Rising Competition:

  • Ally Fricke and Emma Miller in Research Learning Challenges
  • Emily Cole, Ryleigh Gebers, Riana Prudente and Caila Gans in Ethical Dilemma
  • Taylor Powers in Exploring Support Services (Top three)
  • Ryleigh Gebers in Impromptu Speaking (Top three)
  • Maria Kamar and Marga Galins in Children’s Literature K-3
  • Emma Davis in Children’s Literature Higher Ed (Top three)

In addition to the competition, students also were able to network with other future teachers from across the nation. They attended breakout sessions, a Diamondbacks baseball game, toured Arizona State University, and explored the downtown area of Phoenix.
