Recycling & Composting Reports

Environmental impact reports are now available for November 2023. As a result of recycling efforts, LPS saved:

  • 1,444 trees
  • 348,205 kWh of energy
  • 594,497 gallons of water
  • 280 cubic yards of local landfill space
  • 5,096 lbs of air pollution
  • 34,821 gallons of fuel

LPS Scrap Metal Drive

Help raise funds for the LPS Recycling Program as you clear out unused scrap metal from your home or workshop. Visit our website for dropoff locations and to learn more about which items can be recycled.

Marker Recycling is Back

Marker recycling is back for the 2023-24 school year! Gather up markers, pens, mechanical pencils, and caps from any brand into a box, label it with your school name, then send it to LPS Operations, Attn: Brittney Albin via interoffice mail.


Upcoming Garden Gathering 

Mark your calendars for the first Garden Gathering of 2024, which will be on Wednesday, February 28th. Join LPS Sustainability and community partners at Northwest High School to tour the school’s rooftop garden. The gathering will also include a seed starting demonstration, which beginner gardeners won’t want to miss! Register for this free event here.
