In February of 2009, the LPS Board of Education approved the purchase of computers for teachers and mobile labs in support of state testing and student learning.
This web site will serve as a primary source of news, resources, and training information for this initiative. For those of you that use an RSS news reader you can subscribe to this page allowing you to have the information pushed out to you.

Backing Up Your Computer's Data
LPS Computing Services goes to great lengths to keep secure backups of the information kept in the district's data centers. This could apply to you and your work as well, but you have to have your information somewhere other than your laptop to make sure it is included in the district's backup strategy.

Wireless Access for Laptops @ LPS
Lincoln Public Schools uses two wireless networks throughout the district. LpsPrivate is used by LPS Staff for connections to internal network services including printing (staff ID required). LpsPublic is used for all other services, including guest access to the network. This web page explains the process of connecting to LpsPrivate for LPS Staff.
