Community combats child hunger with 17th annual Extra Mile Walk < Updated
Lincoln Public Schools students, families, staff and educators came together to help combat child hunger during the 17th annual Extra Mile Walk at East High School April 20. The LPS tradition is a partnership between the Food Bank of Lincoln to raise awareness and support for the nonprofit’s Backpack program. The donations also help aid the Food Bank’s food markets and pantries at LPS schools.

LPS students place at 2024 NSAA State Speech Championships
Fifty-one students from five LPS high schools traveled to Kearney on Wednesday, March 20, for the 2024 NSAA State Speech Championships. Several students placed in the top six for their events, and four of the teams placed in the top ten for overall team sweepstakes.
