LPS adding text messages to alert options

Lincoln Public Schools is excited to announce the launch of a new service that will enhance communication by allowing us to deliver important information to you via text messaging, in addition to the current phone and e-mail messages. This service is not intended to replace our existing means of communication - rather it will enhance them.

The district will only use the service to provide information that is timely and relevant.

Coming soon, we will launch a new optional text messaging service and give you instructions on how to receive text messaging for general and attendance issues. (Please note, although the district does not charge you for this service, it does not pay for text message charges that may be incurred by you for sending or receiving text messages.  Check with your wireless carrier for possible charges.)

You will want to insure we have correct phone numbers for the adults in your home. Be sure to complete the census form for each of your students as they come to you via U.S mail from your student's school or when you are asked to complete them at the open house for your student(s) or when they are sent home after school begins.
