Kingery to return as softball coach, Limbach new assistant AD for East

Lance Kingery will return to coach the Lincoln East High School girls softball team this fall, and Zach Limbach will fill the role of assistant athletic director.

Kingery previously coached the Spartans 12 years ago before taking on the same position at Nebraska Wesleyan University.

"Coach Kingery is a known entity at East,” said East Athletic Director Wendy Henrichs. “He is a Spartan and is passionate about East High and the kids who go here. He is excited to return to the high school level and we are excited to have him."

Limbach comes to East from Lincoln North Star High School where he coached basketball and golf.

“(Zach) has had a broad background in athletic experiences at various levels and appreciates our focus on academics and the student athlete,” Henrichs said. “Zach impressed us with his enthusiasm and energy level. I'm convinced he will fit in well on our administrative team and will be well received by our coaches, athletes and parents." 

Fall sports practices can begin Monday, Aug. 6.
