EFP focuses on use of curriculum by entrepreneurs

Watch video from 2011 Business Expo

The Entrepreneurship Focus Program is the youngest of the focus programs in Lincoln Public Schools. The goal is to teach a traditional high school curriculum through the lens of entrepreneurship in our global economy.

While the curriculum is always changing to adapt to current business issues and trends, each week will include meaningful applications, focus and reflection time, as well as integrated curriculum instruction. The students will experience a lively and impactful year that will increase their self-awareness and stretch their minds to the possibilities within themselves and out in the real world.

The majority of classes will be sophomore, junior and senior level courses, ninth grade courses are being added for the 2011-2012 school year. EFP offers courses that meet graduation requirements in English, math, social studies, applied arts (all E-ship and marketing), economics (Econ and App Econ), technology (multimedia), and human behavior (Psych).

EFP holds classes on the fourth floor of the SCC Entrepreneurship Center at 285 S. 68th Street Place, and holds partnerships with Gallup, Southeast Community College, University of Nebraska-Lincoln Center for Entrepreneurship and Information Technology Focus Program.
