Forums set for public comment on superintendent search

Six public forums have been scheduled for the public to comment on the search for a new superintendent of Lincoln Public Schools (LPS).

The forums will be held at all six LPS high schools throughout Lincoln over several weeks late in September and early in October.  The public is invited to attend and offer opinions on the characteristics and qualities they would like to see considered for a new superintendent.

LPS Superintendent Susan Gourley has announced plans to retire at the end of the 2009-2010 school year.

All forums are set for 7:30 p.m.
