Consider taking part in October Mindfulness Matters

EHA, part of BCBS Nebraska, is providing the staff tracking branch of our focus on social emotional wellness this October. If you choose to enroll, you will receive a book called “Mindfulness Matters” to support your efforts. Everything we can do to support our mental health is a plus. If you track your participation on the EHA dashboard for 20 or more days in October, it will make you eligible for additional prize drawings. All staff is welcome to take part. Each LPS employee has their own dashboard and confidential tracker, which is linked to your personal code. If you don't know your code, there is a lookup function on the EHA page, based off your LPS email. One note: EHA mails items to your home address, so be sure to check your address and keep it updated so you don't miss out on receiving any surprises! We hope you join in the fun! Fun Face Covering Fridays

In these serious times, we all need a bit more fun. Especially in October, staff is welcome to bring on the fun with your face coverings on Fridays. School appropriate of course, not ghoulish, but favorite bright colors, characters, favorite teams or other themes that help perk up your energy and the energy of those you work with. If you are like me, I keep a few in my classroom/cube/car anyway, so if I need to change to fit what I'm doing I can (of course it also csn depend on what I'm wearing). Face coverings are such a focus, even just using bright colors may impact your energy. You will have opportunities to submit pictures of "maskies" so stay tuned!
