The prostheses helps to restore their self-esteem and confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.

&quot;We the People&quot; is a measure of students' knowledge of the U.S. Constitution. The school team is divided into six expert groups and given a specific constitutional topic. Student groups present prepared remarks and are asked follow-up questions, while a panel of judges evaluate the responses.

With the win, the team has qualified to compete at nationals in Washington, D.C. in May, where teams from all fifty states and the District of Columbia will be represented. LEHS social studies teacher Kevin Rippe, will be working between now and May to help the team continue learning new constitutional material and fundraise to pay for the trip. "/>
